In addition to a number of law review and bar journal articles, Ted is the author of two national treatises for West Group, the Attorneys Practice Guide to Negotiations (now in its 2nd Edition, with the Honorable Brian Crowe) and Jury Selection: Strategy & Science (now in its 3rd Edition, with Richard Gabriel), as well as a member of the editorial board of the DuPage County Bar Association's publication, The DCBA Brief.
Ted has an A.V. Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and was first named as an "Illinois Super Lawyer" in 2005. He accepted a fellowship with the American Bar Foundation in 2005.
He received his bachelors degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago and is a 1990 graduate of Loyola. At Loyola, he served as the editor of Blackacre and on the Editorial Board of the Loyola Consumer Law Reporter. He was awarded Best Oralist in the school’s intra-school moot court competition, received a fellowship for work with the American Judicature Society and received American Jurisprudence Awards in Professional Responsibility and Criminal Procedure, among other honors. He has remained active with the law school since then, teaching classes in pre-trial litigation and appellate advocacy and as a moot court team coach for a number of different teams. At the school's annual banquet in 1999, Loyola's Moot Court Honors Board recognized him as their guest of honor, for his "years of outstanding dedication and support." Now an Adjunct Professor with the law school, he teaches a class in antitrust litigation with Granvil Specks and seminars on jury selection, legal negotiation and client counseling. Ted has been invited to speak for a number of organizations both in and outside the Chicago area, including the Illinois Paralegal Association, the American Society of Trial Consultants and the National Business Institute. He is a subject of biographical record in Who’s Who in America (1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005); Who’s Who in the World (1999, 2001); and Who’s Who in the Law (1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005).
